Save time on new machine setup using Settings Sync for VS Code


Save time on setting up a new machine by using Settings Sync for Visual Studio Code to configure and install extensions in your development environment. In this Quick Hit Edition of Reducing Friction with RunnX (RFwR), I share the popular VS Code extension I found to sync my settings from my Windows machine to my new MacBook Pro. New machines can be exiting, but they are a double edged sword because the time it takes to get everything setup. I share the extension that saved me time and demo the sync working on a Catalina VM.
